Another Option When Looking at Central Heating Systems
You generate waste oil, but you don't want to contribute to pollution. The solution is a waste oil-burning furnace. Find new or used furnaces as well as clean burn waste oil furnace parts on eBay.
Parts of a waste oil-burning furnaceWhen you invest in a waste oil furnace, you want to ensure that the furnace is going to last. In addition, you want to ensure that your furnace is using the waste oil efficiently and not creating more waste. There are three parts to a waste oil furnace that are important.
- Burner: Most burners are hardwired right into your waste oil furnace. Make sure your burner is optimized for waste oil combustion and can work with both regular and synthetic oil. High-voltage ignition will ensure a cleaner burn and more efficient furnace.
- Pump: You can find pumps with plastic or steel parts. Plastic parts are easy to replace and will wear out faster than steel. Steel will cost more initially, but you won't have to replace them as frequently.
- Heat exchanger: An efficient heat exchanger can make all the difference. You don't want to lose heat that has been generated because of an inefficient heat exchanger. Most waste oil furnaces use the blast tube type of heat exchanger, but there are several types available. Energy retention disks are more efficient than a blast tube.
Clean Burn is both a term and a brand. Although the brand Clean Burn makes waste oil-burning heaters, some manufacturers refer to their furnaces as a clean burn. Waste oil furnaces do generate a clean burn, meaning they are environmentally friendly. If you are looking for a Clean Burn waste oil furnace, ensure that the words are capitalized. If the words are not capitalized, it is likely that it is a different brand. Econo Heat is another common brand.
What types of oil can you use? When oil begins to break down or has impurities in it, it is considered waste oil. The most common types of waste oil used in waste oil heaters are motor oil, fuel oil, transmission fluid, and hydraulic oil. This is why mechanic shops often invest in a waste oil heater. If you generate a lot of waste oil in your home or business, you may find it more efficient to have your own waste oil furnace instead of paying to dispose of it.
