Microsoft Xbox 360 NCAA Basketball 10 Video Games

Bring Home the Excitement of March Madness

Video games have come so far in recent years. And sports games are no different, especially NCAA basketball. Modern versions look almost exactly like real life. They're exciting, engaging, and offers glimpse into life as a player. NCAA Basketball 10 by Electronic Arts for Xbox 360 is a popular choice among gamers. But with a new game coming out every year, how do you decide which one to get?

What's New in NCAA Basketball 10?

This version of NCAA Basketball 10 for Microsoft's Xbox 360 has some of the same features as past years, but it also has some exciting updates to make the game more fun.

  • Electronic Arts got licensing agreements from both ESPN and CBS to use their game broadcast formats. Animations, screen transitions, graphics, and even the announcers on NCAA Basketball 10 are identical to what you'll see on TV. It's not uncommon to think you're watching ESPN and not playing a video game.
  • Improved play calling makes it easier for players to run their offense. A simple click of the left bumper button will send people in motion, having them set screens and run pick and rolls. This helps make the gameplay more exciting and realistic.
  • In NCAA Basketball, home court matters. This new version of the game includes the "20 Toughest Places to Play." When you're in one of these stadiums, crowd noise is louder and more real. And during intense moments, the screen shakes and the controller vibrates to make things more exciting.
  • This game updates regularly, keeping the top 20 coaches and RPI rankings up-to-date all the way through March.

What's Still the Same in NCAA Basketball 10?

Part of the reason game developers come out with new sports games every year is to fix problems with past versions. However, they don't always get it right. So what from NCAA Basketball 10 for Xbox 360 has not changed?

  • There are still some funny AI antics in this version of NCAA Basketball 10. For example, players will sometimes call for the ball when they are either backcourt or out of bounds, something that would never happen in a real basketball game.
  • Although this game is designed for the NCAA, it borrows a lot from NBA versions. If you've already spent a lot of time playing other sports games such as NBA Live, then NCAA Basketball 10 for Xbox 360 will not feel all that different.
  • Because it's the NCAA, player likenesses are still going to be a bit off. Just like in all other versions, NCAA Basketball 10 does not offer accurate renditions of players' faces. If you want that, you'll have to buy the NBA version.
